Youth Ally Competition theme: Transitions

There are so many ways we can view how people transition in the world, transitioning between life stages, journeying through mental health, transitioning through relationships or transitioning through cultural changes.

The overall theme of the competition is to explore a way in which young people transition through social changes in life.

Criteria for the film competition:
Length: 2 to 5 min
Submission age categories: 12-17yr, 18 - 24 year old
Equipment guidelines: Filmed on android and iPhone

Prizes (in both categories) monetary prizes issued in vouchers:
1st place $750, 2nd place $500, 3rd place$250 + plus more

We understand the use of language can be essential to the movement of a storyline though any unnecessary derogatory language including swearing, racial slurs or sexist language will be immediately exempt from the competition.

It is also important to note, the recreation of scenes that could spark a trauma response should not be displayed e.g images of self-harm, the recreation of violence, and may result in exemption from the competition

All videos will be displayed on a public website, please get permission from all parties including those underage for the publication of their image.
