Testimonials

The best compliments our organisation can receive is the feedback from people we work with. Over the years we have received hundreds of letters of thanks and support, here are just a few.

Enough is Enough does invaluable work in the community, helping criminals change their behaviour and victims of crime to get help and move on with their lives.

NSW Premier Kristina Keneally, January 2011

The alcohol intervention program has had a serious effect on me and had forced me to rethink my actions and what role I want to play in society. In particular, it was the session conducted by Enough is Enough that really impacted on me and I not only wanted to express my sincere thanks to your for taking the time to speak with us, but also to offer my services should you require them.

Drink Driving Program Participant, December 2010

Thank you very much to Ken Marslew for R-PROGRAM. This workshop has truly impacted my train of thoughts and makes me want to be a better person for myself. I personally have to say that you've changed my perception and viewing of the way one thinks. It was a very powerful presentation showing us there is a different way to life instead of using anger, showing us that truth is a better way in life. Thanks a lot for your time and effort.

Dillwynia Correctional Centre, November 2010

On behalf of Year 9 at Parramatta Marist, I would like to thank Ken B Marslew for the inspiring story that he shared with us when he visited our school. He has taught us about trust and forgiveness by turning a traumatic loss in his life into a lesson for all of us to be better people. One of the valuable lessons that he taught us is that you can't change the past, but you can prepare for the future; this is important in all aspects of life. The theory of "moving to the bright cloud instead of staying in the dark cloud" was very inspiring.

Our school motto is "Fortion Ito" meaning "Go Forth With Strength", and Ken Marslew has been a living example of this for us.

George Wardan, Yr9 SRC Representative, Parramatta Marist High School, November 2010

Yesterday I attended "Journey Towards Justice Seminar" at Wesley theatre. The conference was both interesting but at sometimes confusing. As I don't actually do Legal Studies I found some information said very interesting and really opened my eyes to how justice works (and at times doesn't work) in our society. The speakers spoke of both the negative and positive sides of the subject expressing their opinions and giving detailed information of the subject. Other speakers captured my attention more than others such as Howard Brown. He brought tears and laughter to the stage and he closed the conference with a bang. Some of the speakers though didn't quite have the same effect on me and seemed to just drown me in information.

I think "Journey Towards Justice" is really beneficial for all students my age.

Jordan Gauci Year 11 Student De La Salle Cronulla, November 2010

Our Country - Our Culture Seminar: It was inspiring time! 8 indigenous speakers from diverse backgrounds spoke of overcoming difficulties in their path to success. The stories were challenging and encouraging , bringing tears and laughter. The meeting was ground-breaking providing both the opportunity to hear and to speak to these people who had come through so much and who thrived, not just survived.

I look ahead for the opportunity to attend Our Country - Our Culture next year!

"As part of our welfare program at Oatley Senior Campus we have engaged a series of guest speakers who can offer knowledge and resources beyond those of our classroom teachers. We have engaged Enough is Enough for presentations in 2004 on the topics of risk taking behaviours, consequences and managing risky situations, including drink driving, violent situations and drug usage.

Staff and students were impressed by the speakers information and their message. We have booked Enough is Enough for a further three presentations to our Year 11 2005 students (enrolment for Year 11 alone is 508!!)"

Head Teacher Welfare Oatley Senior Campus

We have used the team at E is E for several years with our Year 10 Introduction to SLAM (Senior Learning and Management) program. This program aims to motivate students for their senior years, prepare them for citizenship and their contribution to a peaceful society in keeping with our school non-confrontational approach to conflict resolution. I cannot commend highly enough the professionalism and empathy with young people which the team from E is E displays. We are certainly planning to use the team again in 2005 and beyond.

Principal, Blakehurst High School

Being a school for young people with emotional and behavioural problems, finding a speaker who can engage and speak to their needs can be very difficult. The material which Ken presented challenged each of the students to make some positive changes in the way that they interact with others, express themselves and live in the community.

School Counsellor, The Berne Education Centre

Through allowing our students to share in the experiences of your life you have assisted in their development into the honest, caring young adults that our College prides itself on producing.

Holy Spirit College, Bellambi

Our school community is comparatively free of violence and anti social behaviour. I feel this enviable situation can be attributed in part to the affinity the school has with the Enough is Enough Movement.

Teacher, The Jannali High School

This material should be in every school across the country.

Councillor, Tamworth Council

Ken has turned personal tragedy into hope for others, showing us that all things are indeed possible, challenging young people to truly understand the meaning of living their lives to the full. A crucial message for our College community.

Education Co-ordinator, Marist College, Kogarah

Before our Crime Prevention Workshops many of the students felt it was OK to carry a weapon 'for protection' (identified in a questionnaire). At the completion of the Enough is Enough presentation, all students agreed that carrying any weapon was not appropriate.

Police Officer, Glebe

The Enough is Enough message is brilliant and challenging to say the least - mixture of emotional dynamite and reality.

Independent Educator, Miranda
