Indigenous Program - Silent Anger. Presented by Kimi Alcott Indigenous

Silent Anger is a personal presentation by Kim. This program involves Kim sharing her story which starts with her poem of her mother who is now passed and the violence she suffered from her father.

Kim like so many others found herself in violent relationships which saw her close to giving up on life itself. Through all this she managed to start a new life now living and working in Sydney she tells of her faith in positive thoughts, feelings and actions. Kim tells her story in the hope she may help others before they follow her path and show others that there is hope and you can move on and stay strong and proud of who YOU are.

Take a short journey through Kimi's paintings (Youtube online video) and discover for yourself her world of thoughts and feelings through art, belonging to one of the oldest cultures in the modern world - Aboriginal Australia. Read more about Kimi Alcott

R Program (For correctional staff and inmates)

"Responsibility…Rehabilitation....Reintegration"

Why work with Offenders?

People who have committed violent crimes and exhibited anti social behaviour are, whether we like it or not, still part of our community. Very few people stay in prison permanently.

Taking responsibility for one's actions is not necessarily something that people learn by going to prison - however, it is a vital aspect of our program.

When a person comes out of prison there is no guarantee of their rehabilitation - they have simply been punished; so one of the concepts of the program - goal setting and changing behaviours to get different outcomes - deals with these issues.

The program raises concepts that are vital to reintegration into the community, such as encouraging empathy for victims, encouraging personal initiative and individual goal setting.

This version of the "R" program carries elements of victims empathy, consequences of actions, the value of teamwork and strategies for change suitable for those exhibiting antisocial and violent tendencies. It consist of 3 x 1 1/2 hours workshops with small groups and is designed for people who are not inmates of a correctional or juvenile facility but are dealing with the same emotional and/or behavioural issues.

This 1 x 1 1/2 hour workshop identifies all the risks and responsibilities and offers strategies to deal with them - covering alcohol consumption, drug use, drink spiking, noise factors, transport, gate crashing, public places, etc

Why take a chance? Find out how to protect yourself and your family.
