Do you provide care for children or adults who have a disability, mental health problem, chronic condition or who are frail and aged?
Enough is Enough offers practical and emotional support for carers.
Caring can be very stressful and negatively affect you physically, emotionally and spiritually. Social isolation and loneliness, changes in relationships and mental wellbeing. You may feel sad, depressed or worried and anxious. Getting easily upset or frustrated, or feeling mentally or physically exhausted, stressed, guilty, or grief, are natural and common feelings expressed by carers. Caring can be an emotional roller coaster for many.
The most helpful emotional support is talking to people who are empathic and non judgmental, and who recognise and understand your role as a carer. It may not be easy, or at times, appropriate, to talk to family or friends about these feelings and issues. Who better understands just how difficult your role can be than another carer? Share practical advice, experiences and gain support for what is often the most demanding job you will ever do.
Open to both men and women over eighteen our Carers support aims to provide emotional support to careers. Current and former carers come together to share information and caring skills to help themselves and their person in need of care. Support groups are a valuable source of emotional support for many who attend regularly or when they can manage.
